Imperial Tobacco has launched a special-edition gift box for Davidoff Cigarettes to mark the 25th anniversary of retailer Dubai Duty Free (DDF). The gift box—which is only available for the celebratory period and exclusive to DDF—has a new slimmer design for all variants and comes with a gift inside. A carton of 200 Cigarettes includes a 1Gb USB memory stick, while a carton of 400 Cigarettes contains a 2Gb USB stick. Imperial Tobacco trade marketing manager global duty-free Mark Robinson said: “This is the first time Imperial Tobacco has launched a product for one airport and we are proud to work with DDF. Over the years we have developed Davidoff Cigarettes into one of the top-selling brands at Dubai airport. It was one of the launch airports for our super-premium Davidoff Black & White last year and is in our top five airports worldwide for the brand.” Sales in the region have shown “tremendous” growth and have been driven by the success of the Davidoff cigarette brand, according to Robinson. “Davidoff Cigarettes are a leading luxury tobacco brand so are ideally suited to adult smokers travelling internationally who are in search of high quality and luxury. In addition, the brand is performing well in Gulf States domestic markets and these smokers look for the brand when they travel.”
